Cove Bar & Grill aiming to serve perfection for fifth year

Serving up a mouth-watering Humpty Doo Barramundi dish, Sharks at Kareela’s Cove Bar & Grill is striving for an incredible fifth straight regional win in the 2025 ClubsNSW Perfect Plate awards.

After taking out last year’s south metro category courtesy of a pork rib-eye with peach and bourbon glaze, Cove Bar & Grill head chef Anita Lisson has created another flavoursome meal accompanied by a delicious dessert.

The Humpty Doo Barramundi offering, topped with cilantro and cashew pesto, dukkha and parmesan wafer, is served with roast herb chat potatoes and burnt butter. Sharks at Kareela Members can treat themselves to the dish for $34.

Owned by Gina Louloudakis, Cove Bar & Grill will also enter the state-wide dessert category with a scrumptious Dubai Chocolate Gelato ($18 Members) featuring pure pistachio cream, shredded kataifi, sweetened milk and fresh strawberries.

The Perfect Plate Awards are judged entirely by diners, who will rate dishes from one to five using a QR code. Voting officially opens on Friday, May 3 and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday, June 15. An awards night will be held in mid-July.

The club whose dish has the highest average score at the end of the competition will be crowned the winner in their respective region.

With Cronulla tackling Parramatta to kick off NRL Magic Round on Friday, patrons are encouraged to head to Sharks at Kareela to watch all the action while tucking into Cove Bar & Grill’s latest Perfect Plate entries as the voting period begins.

By voting, diners will go in a ClubsNSW draw to win daily $100 vouchers or one of two Foodie Escapes for Two valued at up to $3,500.

Voting opens on 2 May — cast your vote here: https://perfectplate.com.au/?Choose-Menu&tmd=VG1wclBRJTNEJTNE&ud=VFZSak1RJTNEJTNE
