Cove Bar & Grill has been named a finalist in the 2026 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards, in the restaurant category. It came as a welcome surprise. Thank you to everyone who has eaten with us over the years” that support is what got us here.

We’d like to shine a light on the four women who make Cove what it is.

Anita ” Head Chef

Anita runs our kitchen with real conviction. She’s a talented chef with standards that don’t bend on a busy service. The plate that leaves the pass at 8pm on a Saturday is the same plate she’d send to her own table. Much of what you love about eating here starts with her.

Rebecca ” Events Manager

Rebecca is a perfectionist in the best sense. Driven, dedicated and across everything. A wedding, a communion, a birthday, a work function” she’s the reason it lands the way you pictured it. She sees the details you’d never think to ask about.

Alyssa ” Restaurant Manager

Alyssa is the warmth you feel the moment you walk in. She reads a room beautifully and remembers the people in it. She keeps a full house running smoothly, and the standard of service you’ve come to expect from Cove is one she set and upholds every day.

Gina ” Owner

Cove is Gina’s vision, and she sets the standard the whole team runs on. What it has become is years of hard work and a refusal to lower the bar. She’s passionate, competitive and dedicated, and from the start she has trained, guided and backed the women around her. It shows in every one of them.

In 2024 Sharks at Kareela secured a four-peat victory at the ClubsNSW Perfect Plate Awards! 🎉🏆

A huge congratulations to Gina, Anita, and the entire Cove Bar Grill team for winning the Perfect Plate Award in the Southern Metro region with their mouthwatering peach & bourbon glazed pork rib-eye.
